This Privacy Notice explains how BG Tips collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our websites and services. It applies to https://bgtips.uk, its subdomains, and the members area at bgtipsmembers.co.uk.
1. Who we are
BG Tips operates this website and the betting tips services sold through it. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
You can reach us at [email protected] about anything in this notice.
We handle personal data in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and with the EU GDPR where it applies.
2. What data we collect
We may collect:
- Your name
- Your email address and any other contact details you give us
- Account login credentials for the members area
- Which services you subscribe to, and when
- Messages you send us, such as support requests and feedback
- Technical information including IP address, device details, browser type and how you use the site
We never see or store your card or bank details. See Section 9.
Our services are for adults only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe we hold data about a child, tell us and we will delete it.
3. How we collect your data
You give it to us when you:
- Subscribe to a service or create an account
- Sign up for free tips, news or offers
- Email us or use a form on the site
- Answer a survey or send feedback
We collect it automatically when you:
- Browse our pages, which records your IP address, device information and session data
- Open or click one of our emails
- Interact with content through cookies, covered in Section 10
4. How we use your data, and why we are allowed to
- Delivering the service you paid for, including sending tips and running your members area. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
- Sending free tips, news and offers to people who asked for them. Lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Answering your questions and handling support. Lawful basis: performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in helping people who contact us.
- Keeping the site working and improving it. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running a functioning website.
- Meeting legal and tax obligations. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
5. Marketing emails
We only send marketing email to people who have opted in. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also email [email protected] to come off the list.
Unsubscribing stops the emails. It does not cancel a paid subscription. To cancel a subscription, see our contact page.
6. Who we share your data with
We share only what each provider needs to do its job:
- Whop and ClickBank, who process purchases and provide payment or subscription information needed to manage access to paid services
- GetResponse, who send our email
- Zapier, which connects those systems together
- Our web hosting, domain and security providers
- Anyone working for us who needs access to run the service
- Legal, tax or regulatory authorities, where the law requires it
We do not sell your data. We do not pass it to advertisers or list brokers.
7. Sending data outside the UK
Some of the providers above are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where your data is transferred abroad, we rely on the safeguards recognised by UK law, such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses in our agreements with those providers.
8. Keeping your data safe, and how long we keep it
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted website access over HTTPS, access controls on our systems, and password-protected accounts.
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Records relating to payments are kept as long as tax rules require. Backups may hold copies for a short period after deletion.
You can ask us to delete your data at any time. If you think your data has been misused or exposed, email [email protected].
9. Payments
Individual tipster subscriptions and lifetime VIP purchases are processed through Whop. Monthly and quarterly VIP subscriptions are processed through ClickBank. You provide your payment details directly to the provider shown at checkout. We do not receive your full card details.
The payment provider supplies order and subscription information so we can manage access and deliver your tips. Each provider processes payment data under its own privacy policy, available at checkout. Whop’s privacy policy is available at whop.com/privacy.
10. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Make the website work, including keeping you logged in
- Understand how the site is used, so we can improve it
- Remember your preferences
Cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function do not need your permission. Any others are set only where you have agreed to them, and you can change your mind at any time.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may stop parts of the site working, such as the members area login.
11. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Ask what data we hold about you, and get a copy
- Have inaccurate or out of date information corrected
- Ask us to delete your data
- Restrict or object to how we use it
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to your national data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
12. Links to other sites
Our pages sometimes link to other websites, including bookmakers. We are not responsible for their content or how they handle your data. Read their privacy policies before giving them anything.
13. If the business changes hands
If BG Tips, or part of it, is sold, merged or transferred, your data may pass to the new owner. It would remain covered by this notice, or by one that gives you the same protection, and we would tell you.
14. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.
